Tampa Bay’s newest destination restaurant, RumFish Grill, is a fully immersive experience where visitors can eat, drink, shop and explore. The restaurant’s main attraction is a 33,500 gallon aquarium that encompasses an entire wall of the dining room. The aquarium was built by Wayde King and Brett Raymer of Animal Planet’s hit series “Tanked” and was featured in the hour-long season finale on May 16.
EAT. Serving lunch and dinner daily, RumFish Grill features cutting edge seafood, attractively served in the quiet under-the-sea atmosphere dominated by the massive fish tank. Pasta, meat and poultry round out the menu, and many gluten free options are available. The two bars serve a modified dining menu.
DRINK. Full bars both inside and outdoors include specialty cocktails plus beer and rum flights. Live entertainment plays nightly from the stage visible from both venues. Multiple TV screens including one massive one over the indoor bar make sure patrons keep up with their favorite teams.
SHOP. The area’s largest selection of Guy Harvey merchandise for men, women and children is available in the retail shop. From flip flops to head gear to highly acclaimed marine art, Guy Harvey’s signature style adorns far more than his iconic T shirts.
EXPLORE. Venture down to the underwater viewing area of the 33,500 gallon tank, inhabited by large fish indigenous to Tampa Bay and Gulf of Mexico. A four foot green moray eel shares the coral ledge and rocks with grouper, while more than 20 species including snook, redfish, spotted trout and lookdowns cruise by. An educational hallway helps visitors identify the fish they see, and behind-the-scenes educational tours will be available. Another tank houses juvenile indigenous fish and the tank in the bar features Pacific tropicals and lionfish, an invasive species wreaking havoc on the reefs of the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean and up the Atlantic coast. Resort guests of the Guy Harvey Outpost will have the chance to snorkel in the 33,500 gallon fish tank.RESERVATIONS:
